Lake Tahoe is a land of outdoor magic. You can enjoy it, connect with it and get to know your Self through the practices of yoga. Hatha: Do the work to establish a foundationI began teaching yoga asana on paddle boards in 2010. As a poineer of the practice on Lake Tahoe I had to learn how to manage and guide the experience without any formal training or coaching. I had to rely on my knowledge of teaching yoga, understanding of water safety and that which was shared with me by partners offering similar experiences. I was lucky to have partners to collaborate with and made new friends who shared their knowledge of the water and use of paddle boards. We created a community of paddling people who shared in the joy and passion of being on the water. I brought friends and loyal practitioners out on the water, taught them to use paddle boards properly, to pose, breathe and focus while balancing on the water and, ultimately, created a teacher training program focused upon guiding practices on Lake Tahoe. Why so specific? Because Tahoe has 5 different wind patterns, multiple forms of motorized water traffic and is regulated by 4 counties, 2 states and the Coast Guard. Offering anything on the water requires knowledge of the wind, water, climate, activities on the lake and the requirements for the various vessels that share the water. Practice, Learn, PracticeYou are more than a moving being. Like all living things you are a small piece of the much bigger system. When we practice yoga everywhere we become more aware of how everything is interconnected. Practicing yoga asana, breathwork and mindfulness while floating on water adds aspects of adventure, focus and connection to nature. Throughout our practice and while guiding others we've tested hundreds of boards and have learned how each effects our ability to float, glide, adjust, balance, feel the water and connect with ourselves. Recently, Thurso Surf offered the opportunity to test their newest series and we were very impressed. Try and Keep TryingOur experience of paddle yoga begins with unboxing. As the popularity of inflatable boards has grown we've found value in testing them so we know how to better guide our practitioners. Inflatable boards aren't our favorite for paddle yoga sessions because they typically aren't as sturdy as a foam core. The solidiity of a solid board is preffered for practicing because it feels more stable as you move. However, so many people have them that they now travel with them*. Upon opening the new Thurso Tranquility we noticed it is different from other boards. Thurso's packaging has always been as low waste as possible. We appreciate that this company packs in paper and doesn't double box. We don't need to be disposing of two boxes (one with a whole lot of ink on it) and a bunch of plastic. The board arrived wrapped in a thin styrofoam which protected it from damages during travel. The rest of the supplies were in paper or cardboard. The board, pump, paddles, bag and kit as well as a paddle board carrying strap were included. The repair kit is one of our favorite supplies that Thurso provides. The fins, attachment tools, repair supplies and more fit inside an easy to close envelope. It's the most convenient way to keep these materials accessible and safe. How many times have you losta small part you need for your board? *all boards brought into the basin should be washed and dried prior to prevent pollutants and invasive species transmission She's Pretty! We've tested "yoga specific" stand up paddle boards in the past. They left much to be desired. We know, a flatter board is going to have more drag and less glide, as a result, but we're not looking to be on an unmoving platform. When we practice, the paddle out is as important as the postures we attempt and we want our practitioners to experience how they respond to being on a moving surface. The gentle curve of the nose reduces drag allowing for a slow, but easy glide without inhibiting yogasana. We appreciate that this board travels gracefully on the water as we travel to our practice location. The Tranquility is well constructed and, unlike other boards, designed to be used while moving through vinyasakrama. We were impressed at the solidity of the side bars. When inflated properly, the board was both light weight (relatively speaking) and sturdy. At 6" thick it sits higher above the water than a touring or race board. The carbon rails keep the weight down while providing stiffness that is on parallel with a foam core board. There was almost no depression as we stood and moved upon the pad. And, SHE'S PRETTY! This board looks good. We just love these colors and the wood deck look. The extended pad provides grip as we walk, lengthen and balance. The bungees, yes, that's plural; they're on the front and back, provide storage for the things we bring and need to easily access. The best part is the velcro loops on the side designed to hold your paddle out of the way. We LOVE this! Add in the benefit of having multiple D-rings for tieing off, on and attaching things to make this one of the most thoughtfully created boards we've used. Paddling & PracticingWe curated a new experience right before Thurso sent us their new boards to try. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. "Beach to Board" and "Boat to Board" are our Adventure Yoga offerings. Each experience includes a guided yoga practice on paddle boards. Beach to Board begins on the sand with movement to prepare for paddling, a paddle out onto the lake, a mindfulness practice and then a paddle back. Boat to Board is a collaboration with Tahoe Tastings during which we load boards on the boat, travel to a quiet cove and practice on the boards. Mimosas and brunch can be added on. We inflated the boards, loaded them onto Legend and set a course to a quiet cove for a private paddle session and shoot to get images and promotional materials. The boards performed well from inflation to deflation; we travel out with them inflated, then deflate them for the return trip so they are easier to store and the boat can travel faster. Steadiness & EaseWe practiced on the Thurso Surf Tranquility. Waterwalker 132 and Waterwalker 126 as well as the 2024 Waterwalker 132 as well as the Bote Breeze Aero and the Funwater Cruise 11'. We found that each board has its merits. The Funwater is super light weight and easy to transport, but isn't our favorite when it comes to stabilty and width. Prior to using Thurso boards, our preferred paddle yoga board was the Bote. The Breeze Aero is wide, glides well and provides a long deck pad that makes accessing downward dogs easier. It's also a good looking board with a similar color scheme to Thurso. We like those beach vibes! What we like about the Thurso is that you can detach all the fins for travel and when your transport is an antique motor yacht you don't want to be apologizing for scratches. As I mentioned before, the ability to attach the paddle to the side is one of our favorite aspects. Whether carrying the board or practicing postures, it keeps the paddle safe and out of the way. We used the D-rings to attach the boards to the back of the boat while we were placing them on the water. It was convenient to tie them to eachother and to keep the bungees free to tucking our belongings beneath. Five practitioners tested all of the boards and agreed that the construction of the 2025 Thurso Surf boards is significantly better than other boards. Quoting one of them: "This feels as close to a solid board as I've ever experienced." Of course, as it is with any inflatable board, the lack of inner support is still noticeable. We're okay sacrificing that for ease of transport and storage. We found postures including warior II and headstand to be easily accessible. Our photographer, a complete beginner, felt confident paddling from a standing position after a brief lesson on the Thurso Waterwalker. On that note, we noticed that the Tranquility was sluggish compared to the Waterwalker and all of the boards slower than the Funwater, which has a shorter side cut and pointier nose. For a cruise around the bay or a brief paddle to a quiet spot, the Thurso is up for the task. Improvement is ImportantNo board is perfect, but some are better than others. Knowing what you need and prefer is valuable. Having tested dozens of boards we know that a racing or touring board is not what we need for paddle yoga. We want a board that inflates quickly, is easy to carry, has a long deck pad, stays stable while moving and looks pretty for the pictures (everyone wants pictures). The Thurso fulfills most of our desires. There are a few things we would improve upon. The first is the pump that came with the boards. It's big and can get hot. It also sometimes smells like electicity. Inflating the board to 15 psi, yes 15, makes a huge difference for this board. We recommend checking for full inflation each time you use it, but have found that it can hold air for quite a long time. We stored ours in a shady, protected location and didn't need to refill it for at least a month. The deflation setting on the pump is inconsistent. It will run for a bit and deflate, then the sound changes and it stops expressing air. There doesn't seem to be a way to address this. It also doesn't seem to hold a charge and we wish it could plug into a regular outlet for times when we inflate at home. The fins are great! It's so nice to be able to remove them for packing and they're sized perfectly. It's also good to have a center fin that can be adjusted for your paddling style. The thing we don't like is that the smaller ones have a tiny screw adjustment that requires a tiny tool. Tiny things are not good when you're on the sand or water. They dissappear. We prefer the fins that lock in using a clip. The Funwater uses fins like this as do a few other brands. The clip attaches to the fin, so it doesn't get lost. Even though Thurso's site says, "No tools needed," if you don't tighten the screw, you might come back missing a fin. The new bungee style is also not our favorite. We like the thickness but have found, on other boards, this version dries and stretches out quickly in Lake Tahoe rendering them useless. The commonly used round bungees are easy to re-knot and replace when this happens. We do like that the new, wider bungees are adjustable and can be criss-crossed or removed. Let's Get TogetherOne of our favorite things is to introduce people to new experiences. We've found that it's worth it to spend a little more on unique and singular things. If paddling on Lake Tahoe is on your bucket list, why not do so in the most fun way?
You can book our Paddle Yoga and Boat to Board sessions on our site. We recommend doing so at least 30 days in advance. As small business owners, we practice high-touch customer service. You'll hear from a real person who'll make sure your reservation is accurate. Once you do, we'll prepare the boards and boat. You might want to add in mimosas and a bagel breakfast because you're going to need to refuel after this experience. Sessions are limited to groups of 6. Yes, we'll honor your celebratory theme and are happy to add on other options to curate a special experience that aligns with your needs and requests. Sessions are typically available June - October. While the start time is flexible, we recommend departing at 7am to enjoy the calm of the lake before the other boaters are out. Trips are typically 3 hours and include a 60 minutes paddle yoga session. Yes, photos are included (everyone wants photos).

We are tribal creatures who enjoy engagement, connection, conversation, and presence. The practice of Yoga is one of union. Virtual classes provide much, but the connection we feel to others while practicing in person is much deeper. Opening DoorsThe transition to more virtual classes as well as those that are on-demand has opened many doors. You can now access any teacher from anywhere and attend practices that may not have previously been available in your area. The opportunity to learn from new teachers, instructors, and guides has given many of us a chance to expand our knowledge and skills. As we transition from "at home" back to "real life" many of us will continue to practice virtually as well as through on-demand classes. Being able to join in whenever we are able and to re-attend classes we wish to repeat are conveniences we previously didn't have. Missing PiecesMissing from virtual and on-demand practices are the qualities that we seek out as community creatures; connection, energetic exchange, engagement, conversation, and presence. The virtual world is one of connected disconnect. While joining a practice with people from all over the world we get the chance to see, but not to know them. Our guide may be able to provide verbal adjustments and suggestions, but they aren't specific to our individual needs. We see a two-dimensional figure in a flat space and have to shift our bodies and perspectives to see them, then readjust ourselves into the posture. There are sound delays and internet issues that make participating challenging and, sometimes, impossible. The SpaceIf you've ever been to Tahoe you know how magical this place is. There is no way to experience the size of the lake except for being at it. You can't experience the magnitude of the mountains unless you stand among them. An entire tree can't be seen to it's fullest magnificence without your own eyes. To see is to feel, is to experience. Our new practice space at Bliss Experiences has been designed to capture the experience of being at Tahoe whether you are in the basin, or joining virtually. Our intention is to give everyone an experience of being present even if they are unable to be in the space. Of course, there is nothing quite like being within the four walls of our space. Visually and energetically, the experience of being present and with others is unparalleled. TogethernessAs we begin offering indoor, in-person practices again, we will also continue to invite you to attend virtually. You are welcome to join the practice in whichever way you feel most comfortable.
Spaces will be limited in our indoor sessions. Proof of vaccination or a mask will be required to attend. Physical adjustments will only be available during Individualized Private Sessions. We suggest that you bring your own tools. Mats will be available for rent. You may pay a monthly fee to store your materials in our space. Memberships and registrations are required to attend. Outdoor classes will continue to be offered on beach and paddle board during which we will not be requiring masks. We ask that you do a health check prior to attending: if you feel sick, have a temperature or Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend. Bring your own beach towel, water, and sun protection. Please practice satya (truthfulness) and ahimsa (non-harming) by honestly sharing your vaccination status. Our ability to continue to offer indoor, in-person classes depends upon your honesty and consideration of others and our small business's need to follow the current directives to be able to remain open. At Lake Tahoe Yoga our motto is "Practice Yoga Everywhere." Yoga is what you do beyond your mat and while out in the world. Join us to learn more. Yoga is Time with Loved OnesAttending a scheduled class at a Yoga studio is a great way to be guided in movement and be around others who enjoy the same thing. If you're looking to connect with family or friends a Private Yoga Session is the best option. It reduces the variety of aspects that make people uncomfortable. The teacher is there for you, there are no strangers to compare to, you get to choose when and where to practice. 1) You all know each other 2) You can share your private jokes, converse and enjoy each other's company 3) The session is catered to your wants and needs Yoga is Body FitnessWe use the hashtag "more than poses" in just about every social post we create. This is because we know that Yoga is not limited to the postures you see people doing on mats, or on Instagram. Any physical activity that keeps your body fit and allows you to clear you head is Yoga. Of course, combining the postures described by Yoga Asana practitioners to compliment whatever physical activities you enjoy can make a significant difference. Be sure to stretch before and after aerobic activities to keep your muscles happy and your body moving well. Yoga is a Long WalkThere is beauty all around you. Give yourself the opportunity to enjoy the space in which you live. The practice of Tantra Yoga includes feeling passionate about all things, including the mundane. A slow walk around your apartment or home may reveal things to you that you typically ignore. Take a slow walk around your building or neighborhood. Cruise around the edge of your property. Do your best to view these areas as though they are unfamiliar. Enjoy a long walk. Yoga is Self CareSpa treatments are nice, but the best way to get to know yourself is to take care of your self. When we wash our hair, trim our own nails, apply a face mask, even brush our teeth we are spending time gazing upon our own bodies. The more we do so, the more familiar they become. Treat yourself to a deeply moisturizing hair treatment. Soak your feet in essential oils. Apply your own paraffin to soften your hands. Paint your toe and finger nails in crazy colors. Do it for yourself and to get to know your self. Yoga is Knowing Your SigntYou don't need to be an oracle to use cards, crystals, feathers and incense. Maybe you like to collect pretty rocks. Perhaps you're into plants. Some of us look to the stars for guidance. You already have practices that you enjoy, make your day a little better, and even though they might be considered weird by others, they provide you with some comfort. From making your bed a certain way to having fresh flowers in the house, we all engage in practices that give us peace of mind. Stick with whatever it is that serves you. If you want to explore other practices, we can probably steer you in the right direction. By Alex founded localfreshies.com® in 2014 to be the #1 website providing the “local scoop” on where to eat, drink & play in mountain towns throughout North America. When he’s not writing and executing marketing strategies for small businesses & agencies, he’s in search of the deepest snow in the winter and tackiest dirt in the summer. My First Experience Before Lake Tahoe YogaSince I’ve been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis I’ve been on a search to feel better and get healthier. I stopped smoking. I got into the gym doing exercises specifically geared towards my condition. My diet has changed. So, when I first did yoga, I chose to do a free introductory class years ago. It was ok, but it didn’t really help me. Breaking Down The BarriersI won’t lie Jenay and I are good friends and for many years she’s been trying to coax me into doing a personal session with her. The first (and only) class I did with someone else left a bad taste in my mouth. I felt like it was mumbo-jumbo. For those free-spirited individuals. I balked at the cost as well. Why the heck would I spend a $100 for one session?!?! With the help of my wife I reluctantly said “yes.” Not Just Yoga… A Physical Therapy SessionBefore we even had our 1st session she read up about my illness, looked at my x-rays, had me ask specific questions to have my doctor answer, and did a bunch of research on what things to do and not do. As we started the hour-long session… the type of yoga moves we began with warmed up the body. She explained each posture and why it was important to me. It felt less like a yoga class and more of a physical therapy session. I began to sweat. My muscles began to quiver. My First Personal Course – Mind AlteringBy the end, I was exhausted physically, mentally, and spiritually. As I woke up the next morning it felts as though every muscle had finally let go. A release of pent up tightness that I didn’t know existed. It was then that I realized what Yoga is. It isn’t just stretching. It is a way for those of us who have disabilities to get better slowly. It was worth EVERY penny and I now budget my life so that I can do it every other week. The Difference Between Each Type Of ClassOver the course of the past few months there have been times when I couldn’t do the personal session and have done different levels and I’ve finally realized you get what you pay for. For those with physical issues the 1-on-1 is a MUST! You’ll get more than you’ll ever dream, but it isn’t cheap (and rightly so). The virtual 1-on-1 class is the second best, but not even close to as good as the in-person course. Last but not least, a group class with Jenay is a good substitute but it will never give you the results the other two sessions above will. If you’re in pain, tweaked something in your body, or just feel tight I HIGHLY recommend you scheduling a personal session with Jenay. You won’t regret it.
Include Yoga as Part of Your Next Event or Celebration A Better Birthday PartyAs each decade arrives we begin to value new things. In my 20's I wanted to experience all the things that I couldn't when I was in my teens. When I hit 30 I wanted to remain in my 20's. As I continue to move along the number line in age I have begun to value experience and time with those whom I can have fun and be myself. When you book your next birthday celebration consider hiring a Private Yoga Teacher to provide a guided practice for you and your birthday buddies. An experienced guide will not only provide all of the necessary materials, but be able to vary the practice to honor the needs of everyone in your group regardless of the number of decades they have been living in their body. It's a great way to bring everyone together in celebration of another circle around the sun. Fun with FriendsEven though we may think we are doing a good job of remaining connected with our friends nothing is better than spending a few days together. Experiences connect us. Travel, events, exploration and adventures provide us with stories that last a lifetime. When planning your next friendship getaway consider adding in a Private Yoga class for you and your crew. Not only can it be a good way to limber up before you go out on a hike, mountain bike ride, kayak trip or winery tour, it can also help you to remember why you love each other. From partner postures to Tarot card readings your Private Yoga Teacher should be able to create an experience that honors your group and helps you reconnect as friends. Pre-Party & Post-PartyWhether you are planning a Corporate Retreat or Bachelorette Party alcohol usually ends up on the grocery list. For those of you who enjoy dancing, gambling or going to a show you might find yourself out at one of the casinos. It can be easy to over-do it when drinking in Tahoe because the effects of being at 6000 feet of altitude can surprise you. Be sure to add lip balm and water to your list as well as a Private Yoga Practice to prepare for and recover from your nights out in Tahoe. A knowledgeable Yoga teacher will know exactly what postures and how to apply them to get you ready for a night out or detoxify from the prior one. We want you to enjoy your stay. An hour of Yoga can be the difference between getting out and having fun or spending the day on the sofa. Have your entire trip to Tahoe customized and curated to honor your requests so you can enjoy your stay when you book with Tahoe Bliss Retreats. Add a Private Yoga Session to your stay by booking with Lake Tahoe Yoga.
Receive a Private Evaluative Yoga Session before you join a scheduled practice. I Don't Need No Stinking Props!I have been guiding Yoga Practices since 2006. My practice and teaching style began as Vinyasa. I had no desire to appear as though I didn't know what I was doing or that I needed a prop to access a posture. I was young, fit, strong and (kind of) flexible. Experience Leads to WisdomMy teacher, guide and friend, Amy Pearce-Hayden, strongly suggested that I teach an alignment practice. It changed my entire perspective. I had to practice with tools in order to be able to teach with them. I had to focus upon what I was doing accurately, inaccurately and also what I saw my practitioners doing with their bodies. I would practice creating with my body the postures that I saw my practitioners doing. I became skilled at seeing, feeling and doing postures with both accuracy and misalignment. Begin Where You AreRather than attempting to force me into shifting my perspective, Amy gave me the opportunity to experience what I wasn't willing to see. I was allowed to work from my practice of Vinyasa and develop a deeper understanding of the postures through my own practice and desire to be a better teacher. This is what an Evaluative Session can do for you. Before jumping into one of the practices at LTY give yourself the opportunity to get to know Jenay and the Rajahatha lineage. Give us the opportunity to learn about your practice, understanding and experiences. Then, we can work together to help you choose the practices that most align with your needs and desires. Are you ready to begin the practice at LTY? Request an Evaluative Session to identify the best sessions with which to start.
Authentic BeginningsLake Tahoe Yoga began as an idea. For years I would joke about various locations being "a great place for a studio." I never thought I would actually become a studio owner. It wasn't until I was approached by some locals who were curious about my skills beyond counseling that I considered starting my own business. I began with just a few classes, some private sessions, and free classes. Once I began actively teaching, I realized how much I had to learn about business, people and community. Giving too Much AwayI am enthusiastic about instructing, guiding, and helping others to discover their paths. The teacher in me is always proud to see my students demonstrate their understanding, develop new skills and grow as individuals. While instructing others, I am always learning. It wasn't until it was too late that I realized the very people that I had been supporting, guiding, and instructing were planning on attempting to become my competition. Upon leaving Lake Tahoe Yoga Studio they took more than the knowledge I had shared; they took practitioners, ideas and more. Avoiding CompetitionIt is incredible to look back to 2008 and review how rapidly technology, advertising, marketing and business has changed. During this time there have been positive and negative shifts in every field. I have had to change everything about the way I market my business. What will never change is the roots of Lake Tahoe Yoga. Many of the studios, gyms, etc. in town may be listed on Mindbody or some other app. They may have pretty photos with people posing on their instagram. Maybe they are offering classes at breweries, art studios, wineries, with goats and cats and dogs. They are viciously competing with one another. Lake Tahoe Yoga continues to remain focused on our roots: the practice, the knowledge and sharing it with others. Putting our Money where it MattersLake Tahoe Yoga wouldn't exist if it wasn't for our community. It was the locals that encouraged me to begin instructing and who continue to support the studio. I didn't practice at any other studio in Tahoe. I didn't train with a studio here. I didn't learn how to run a business by working for another studio. Everything at Lake Tahoe Yoga grew through active learning, community engagement & support, and the dedication I have to the practice, studio, and practitioners. Our social media photos are of Tahoe and people just like you and me doing their best to access more than a pose. They are trying to access Yoga. They are living in this world, working beside you. They are breathing, moving and observing themselves and the world around them hoping to bring forth positive change. Every penny spent to advertise Lake Tahoe Yoga is purposeful and focused. From local memberships for TRYP, SLTWHS and Tahoe Chamber to social media the advertising is calculated to be the best way for us to reach the community and to give back. Supporting Small, Local Yoga Studios & BusinessesOver the past 10 years I have learned much about Tahoe South, business, and people. I have grown as an instructor, business owner and individual. I have deepened my understanding of Yoga and what it means to truly practice. I know I am not perfect. I remind my students that not everyone lives life with an open mind and that most people are in service only to themselves. Taking this lesson to heart, I have chosen not to advertise on the popular apps so that I can donate a portion of Lake Tahoe Yoga's profits to local and international non-profits. When traveling, I seek out the small, locally owned studios that are not listed on Mindbody and do not have fancy advertisements or websites. I have discovered wonderful studios, new instructors, friendships, connections and more. I have expanded this practice beyond Yoga studios and have begun seeking out small businesses, as well. It has opened many new doors. Go Small, Support LocalsThere is no guarantee that the studio you find listed on Mindbody is the best, nor is there a guarantee that the teacher instructing in the basement of her house is any good. You will never know if you don't try it out. How about giving that new teacher in the basement a try before heading to the studio paying to be noticed? Step into that funky little shop on the corner instead of going to the one with thousands of reviews. Ask a friend for a recommendation, ask a local where they go, step off of the beaten path and try something new. For it is only when we try that we know.
Do the Rewards Equal Your Efforts?Everything you do has an equal return. Every thought you have, every word you speak and every action you take will result in a reaction. You have control only over that which you think, say or do. You cannot control anyone else or the results of what they do. Yoga teaches us to practice observing our thoughts, words and actions and becoming aware of the intention behind each. If the intention is to make yourself look good, hurt someone else or to improve your life alone, then Karma results. I like to imagine Karma as a small seed. One is not a big deal, but a bag, bushel or box of seeds can get very heavy. The more Karma seeds you create, the heavier they get. Discovering DharmaThroughout your life you have stitched together various activities, people, and experiences that all have something in common. Reflect upon the work you have chosen to do, the places you have spent time, the topics that you have studied and the people to whom you have become close. Can you identify the common thread? That to which we are drawn is most often our Dharma; our life's duty. Once you begin observing and reflecting you may be able to see the common thread throughout your life. You may even notice that it is something for which you feel passionate. In addition, it is something that effects more than just you. Typically, it is something that you are able to do that makes life better for others. Can you identify your Dharma? Receiving GuidanceBefore, throughout, or to close any Yoga class, your teacher will offer some guidance in discovering your Dharma. Knowing what to look for is the first step toward identifying your life's work. The Dharmic Topic of the day will give you something upon which to focus as you move through asana. A good instructor will weave this theme throughout the class. While you move, he or she will guide you in considering the theme. While practicing, you may make connections to how you are feeling physically, energetically, or emotionally. Consider the Dharmic Focus of Divinity. Your teacher may suggest that you consider the idea of recognizing divinity in all things, including other people, even those with whom you do not get along. While you move through asana, rather than getting lost in mindless chatter, perhaps you will begin to think about those who have wronged you; people with whom you are frustrated or angry. Perhaps you will begin to see that their divinity is blocked by their actions. Next, you may begin to reflect on how your behaviors may make it difficult for others to see the divinity within you. As you continue to practice, observe and reflect, you may begin to bettter understand yourself and, thus, see your Dharma. Remaining on the Path of DharmaUpon identifying your Dharma, the next step is to continue to do your life's work without over-doing it. Yoga is a practice of balance; we must always be seeking Sattva (harmony). Just because you finally know what to does not mean it is time to become forceful. Your eyes have been opened and you know what to look for. Opportunities to practice Dharma will present themselves as appropriate.
While you practice observing and reflecting, it helps to have some guidance. Gathering useful knowledge about Dharma can help. We recommend attending practices that include a Dharmic Focus. On your own, you can read books that provide such focus. One of our favorites is Meditations from the Mat by Rolf Gates. You may also choose to book a Private Session during which we can focus on exploring the common thread within your life. Contact us to begin the process. |
